Bookshop Description

Stanfords Bristol, which opened in 1997, is an independent bookshop specialising in fiction, natural history and children's books. Through our carefully curated selection of titles, we help you to discover authors and titles that might otherwise pass you by, whether a piece of experimental fiction from an independent press, or a beautiful picture book with a diverse cast of characters. The basement floor of our shop is home to our renowned travel department, where you'll find a comprehensive range of maps, guides and travel writing on practically every destination you could think of! In addition to books, we stock a wide range of gifts and stationary, from diaries and journals, to soft toys and Chilly bottles.
